What/who prompted you to become a member?
Several of my colleagues have been members of various HBAs for many years and were able to generate builder relationships which turned into revenue and sales goals were obtained. I am new to the Delaware real estate market and I am looking to familiarize myself with the the builders, both heavy hitters and smaller companies who are looking to grow, increase sales absorptions, locate the best land, keep their investors/lenders happy, and ensure the are building the right product for each market.
How long have you been a member?
I have been a member since May 2017.
How/who first got you involved and what did you do?
Jim McCulley sat with me and explained to me the different opportunities available within the organization and all of the wonderful committees that I am able to be a part of. I am excited to be a part of the organization.
What were your expectations when you joined? Have they changed?
HBADE has exceeded my expectations with their outreach and builder knowledge in the industry.
How has HBADE membership impacted your business?
It is too soon to tell but I am looking forward to all of the events this fall and generating great home builder and associate relationships.
Fun fact about yourself?
I have never drank a full cup of coffee in my life.
What wisdom/advice do you have for future members?
Get involved and always take the appointment because you never know who someone can introduce to you or where you may find yourself years down the line. Business opportunities are around every corner.
