Member will be any individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation: (1) whose principal business is in the construction, remodeling, renovation and/or operation of residential housing; (2) appropriately and currently licensed to do such business;  (3) who agrees on a continuing basis to abide by the provisions (and any amendments therof) of the Consitition, Bylaws, and Code of Ethic of the Association in addition to keeping alll financial obligations to BRAD current;(4) who makes proper application to the Association for membership; and (5) who meets with the approval of the Board of Directors.

Small Builder - The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is less than $3 million.

Medium Builder 1 - The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $3 million and less than $6 million.

Medium Builder 2 - The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $6 million and less than $10 million. 

Large Builder 1 -The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $10 million and less than $80 million. 

Large Builder 2 - The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $80 million and less than $150 million. 

Mega Builder - The majority of revenue is derived from the construction of residential dwellings and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $150 million.

Small Remodeler - The majority of revenue is derived from the remodeling and/or renovation of existing dwelling units and total company revenue in Delaware is less than $7 million in sales

Medium Remodeler - The majority of revenue is derived from the remodeling and/or renovation of existing dwelling units and total company revenue in Delaware is between $7 and $10 million in sales. 

Large Remodeler - The majority of revenue is derived from the remodeling and/or renovation of existing dwelling units and total company revenue in Delaware is greater than $10 million.


The majority of revenue is derived from the conversion of raw land into building lots or conversion of existing developed property into a new use or new design for sale to builders.

An Associate Member  will be any individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation: (1) whose principal business is in any allied trade, profession, or industry related to the Delaware Home Building Industry and revenue from building or remodeling residential dwellings does not exceed revenue from other business activities (or Builder/Developer) Member category above; (2) appropriately and currently licensed to do such business; (3) who agrees on a continuing basis to abide by the provisions (and any amendments thereof) of the Constitution, Bylaws, and Code of Ethics of the Association in addition to keeping all financial obligations to HBA/DE current; (4) who makes proper application to the Association for membership;  and, (5) who meets with the approval the Board of Directors.

Supplier - The majority of revenue is derived from the supply of building materials for the improvement of development sites or construction of residential dwellings or other buildings. 

Building Trade - The majority of revenue is derived from providing a single trade or multiple related trades to assist in the construction or renovation of residential dwellings and other buildings.  Such as electrician, carpenter, plumber, HVAC, site work, etc.  

Professional Services - The majority of revenue is derived from providing professional services related to building and site design, studies, reports and other information related to the other membership categories described herein. 

Lender/Mortgage - The majority of revenue is derived from lending money to the other member categories or their clients.  This includes banks and mortgage lenders.
