Protecting our Industry

Help us keep Delaware pro-housing

Our industry is under attack from every direction. Almost every day, all levels of government introduce legislation that make it tougher to build homes when we are in desperate need of more inventory to address an unprecedented housing shortage.

Your contributions to Hammer & Nails stay local and will help affect local elections and policies. We need your support to elect pro-housing candidates, protect our industry from harmful regulations, and build more housing so that Delaware may help address the nationwide housing shortage and affordability crisis.

Your H&N Club contributions have helped us:

  • Keep the construction industry essential during COVID-19
  • Pass two pieces of the Ready-in-6 legislation to decrease the time it takes to get a permit
  • Negotiate compromises for costly requirements related to EV charging infrastructure
  • Keep residential fire sprinklers optional in New Castle County

Build PAC

As Housing Goes, So Goes the Economy...

BUILD-PAC, NAHB’s bipartisan political arm, helps elect pro-housing, pro-business candidates to federal office and is critical to NAHB’s success on Capitol Hill.

Elections matter and have a lasting impact. That’s why it is so important for NAHB members to be engaged in the political process every step of the way. Have your voice heard on issues that are important to you.

Roughly 4.5 million Americans work in the residential construction industry, and millions more are engaged in businesses directly related to home building. There is power in numbers!
